2019 LunchTime to End Hunger

Bloodshot Records

Thanks for visiting the Bloodshot Records team page!

You can join the fight against hunger in our hometown of Chicago by joining the BSHQ team and participating in the LunchTime to End Hunger® campaign. By donating what you would normally spend on lunch for a week, you can help the Food Depository address hunger among children in Cook County. A $100 donation can provide food for 300 healthy meals that will help children grow and thrive. Help put food on the table for the next generation of Chicago musicians and music fans!

The Greater Chicago Food Depository’s mission is “providing food for hungry people while striving to end hunger in our community.” Guided by a vision that every community member will have access to the nutritious food they need to lead healthy, stable lives, the Food Depository distributes food to residents through a network of approximately 700 pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and tailored, community-driven programs.

Today, the organization provides nearly 70 million pounds of food annually, the equivalent of 157,000 meals each day, while also implementing innovative solutions to address the root causes of hunger and food insecurity. The organization operates a workforce development program to prepare un/underemployed individuals for quality jobs in the food service industry, connects low-income families to benefits, provides nutrition education and capacity building resources to a network of partners, and advocates for supportive nutrition policies.
