You can join the fight against hunger by joining our office’s team and participating in the LunchTime to End Hunger® campaign. By donating what you would normally spend on lunch for a week, you can help the Food Depository address hunger among children in Cook County. A $100 donation will help provide 300 healthy meals to the community.
Top fundraising companies will be recognized when the campaign comes to a close. Please recruit additional colleagues to participate, and encourage your professional network to form teams at their offices. The winning team will receive the coveted LunchTime to End Hunger® traveling trophy.
The Greater Chicago Food Depository, Chicago’s food bank, is a nonprofit food distribution and training center providing food for hungry people while striving to end hunger in our community. The Food Depository distributes donated and purchased food through a network of pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and community programs to 812,000 adults and children in Cook County every year. Last year, the Food Depository distributed nearly 70 million pounds of nonperishable food and fresh produce, dairy products and meat – the equivalent of 159,000 meals every day. The Food Depository currently serves 1 in 6 Cook County residents who turn to our network for help putting food on the table. During the summer months, the organization provides daily access to healthy meals for children throughout Cook County.
