You can make an impact on childhood hunger by participating in the LunchTime to End Hunger® campaign. By donating what you would normally spend on lunch for a week, you can help the Food Depository deliver nutritious food for children at risk of hunger. A $100 donation can provide food for 300 healthy meals that will help children grow and thrive.
The Greater Chicago Food Depository is Chicago’s food bank. We provide food for hungry people while striving to end hunger in our community.
As Cook County’s leading hunger-relief organization, the Food Depository is part of a united community effort working to bring food, dignity and hope to our neighbors. We are at the center of a network of more than 700 partners organizations and programs – food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, mobile distributions and other groups – working to make it happen. These programs provide food where it’s most needed. We also address the root causes of hunger. Public benefits outreach and job training programs offer a hand up for our neighbors to overcome hunger and poverty. Each day, the Food Depository distributes the equivalent of more than 170,000 meals to people in need across Cook County. By taking hunger off the table, we enable families to focus on other priorities, like education, growth and security. We enable communities to face their challenges with confidence.
Thank you for supporting LunchTime to End Hunger®!
