Welcome, family and friends, to my fundraising page for the 2018 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
I am so excited to partner with GCFD in my 4th marathon this fall to raise money for a very important cause: ending hunger in Illinois.
The Greater Chicago Food Depository (GCFD) is Cook County's local food bank, and they provide more than 164,000 meals every day to adults, children and families. While immediate food access is their primary mission, GCFD also offers several programs and services aiming to address the root causes of hunger in our communities. Learn more about these awesome and innovative programs (including school-based operations and community kitchens) here: http://annualreport.chicagosfoodbank.org/stories/.
Any monetary support you can provide is greatly appreciated, even as little as a few dollars. My goal of raising $1,500 for the GCFD will provide an astonishing 4,500 meals to people in our communities! Your donation will help feed the 812,000 men, women and children served by the Food Depository each year.
The Food Depository and I really appreciate your support. And as always, thanks to all of you for your continued support and encouragement in my running and training. Now let’s do this thing!
Cheers,
KQ
